Can you introduce yourself?

My name is Pratyush Datta. I am 40yrs old, residing in UAE with my wife and 2 sons.

I am an accomplished Marketing, Sales, Project Management & Account Management professional having credible track records in markets incl. GCC & India. I have delivered solutions & services to clients across sectors incl. Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Chemical & Process Industries, Telecom and Ports / Airports.

When not working, I love to go running, spend time with family, play & watch football, go hiking / camping and travel.

Did you have previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry and where does the experience come from?

For more than 6 years I have been leading teams & projects to deliver solutions & services to our clients in Oil & Gas (downstream & upstream) in markets including Oman, UAE & Qatar. Prior to this, I was looking at marketing & sales and project delivery in Telecommunication sector for clients in US, EU, India & South Korea.

With respect to Oil & Gas, I have delivered solutions related to Environment, Regulatory Compliance, Emission Reduction Projects, Energy and Carbon Management. My job usually entails working with Operation Managers, HSE Manager, Maintenance Manager and Asset Managers to understand their goals, targets & challenges, and accordingly align & deliver a solution.

Some of the Oil & Gas clients I have worked with in GCC region include Petronas, BP, Oman Oil Refineries & Petroleum Industries Company (ORPIC), Tank Farms, Chemical Industries and Gas Processing & Distribution companies.

What made you apply for the job of International Sales Manager for the Middle East at The Sniffers?

From 2012 to 2015, I had the opportunity to work with The Sniffers to sell & deliver projects related to emission management, in Sultanate of Oman. We were successful in branding The Sniffers as a specialist & leading Fugitive Emission Management service provider in GCC. One of the pillars for our success was the professionalism, commitment, reliability and result-oriented approach of The Sniffers team.

In the current turbulent times in Oil & Gas market, especially in Middle East, concession holders and operating companies are looking at solutions & services related to reducing operational costs, enhancing a facility / asset’s performance & efficiency and also environmental stewardship. Sniffers portfolio of services can help our customers in achieving KPIs related to these pillars.

In my current role, I am engaging with clients in GCC region in markets like UAE, Qatar and other GCC countries, where I find The Sniffers is already a known & well respected service provider related to emission management. With the investments & effort Sniffers is making in realigning their services as per the changing market scenario, I look forward to working with the team to provide $ value to our clients while we further our business prospects.
